On the evening of April 28, 2011, Professor Michael C. White, prominent novelist and Director of Fairfield University’s Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing program, presented Annabelle Moseley with the Graduate Achievement Award in Creative Writing. Annabelle, who graduated from Fairfield with her MFA in January 2011, is Fairfield University’s first ever recipient of this prestigious award.
The awards ceremony was held in the Oak Room of the University’s Barone Campus Center. The award was given in recognition of the excellence of Moseley’s work as part of the Fairfield MFA program. In his speech, Michael White cited the large number of Moseley’s published poems, the quality of her work, and the distinction of her Master’s Thesis, a full-length poetry collection, having been accepted for publication within three months of its completion.
